Riverdale invited the community to help with the Haiti relief efforts by celebrating the Dominican Republic’s Independence Day.  The school, with Board of Trustee members Gregg Hymowitz, Lisa Argrette Ahmad, Tiki Barber and others, had an art show and auction that featured drawings from Charlene Saiz.

In addition, a group of Dominican artists showcased and auctioned their works in an effort to aid the people in Haiti. These exciting and important events took place in the Covo Lounge at 701 West 135^th Street on 12^th Avnue.
